Your Pathway to University
The Collegiate offers outstanding university preparation for international students who choose to study in Canada. Students can thrive with the independence and flexibility of learning on a university campus, combined with the support of a close-knit community of educators who care deeply about student success.
Regular High School Program
International students in Grade 9, 10, 11 and/or 12 can enrol in the regular high school program at The University of Winnipeg Collegiate. After successfully completing the UWC high school program, students earn a Manitoba High School Diploma and are eligible to apply to top universities in Canada and around the world.
UWinnipeg Pre-University Pathway Program (UW-PUPP)
The UW-PUPP program is intended for academically strong students who are currently studying under British and Caribbean curriculum (IGCSE / O levels / AS levels / CESC), and do not meet UWinnipeg undergraduate entrance requirements.
In addition to being accepted into the Collegiate, students who are admitted to UW-PUPP also receive conditional acceptance to The University of Winnipeg Undergraduate Studies (dual-acceptance). After successfully completing the UW-PUPP and satisfying the University’s conditional requirements for undergraduate studies, students will earn a Manitoba High School Diploma and seamlessly transition to their
undergraduate degree studies at The University of Winnipeg.
Minimum Grade Requirement: B average
University Foundation Program
International students who have completed the high school program in their home country but do not currently meet university entrance requirements, can complete the University Foundation Program.
After successfully completing the University Foundation Program, students will earn a Manitoba High School Diploma and will be eligible to apply to any university or college of their choosing.
Minimum Grade Requirement: C average
Minimum Educational Gap: 24 months
English Language Program & Collegiate Pathway
International students who meet the Collegiate’s academic requirements but do not currently meet the Collegiate’s English language proficiency requirements, may be accepted to the English Language Program (ELP)/Collegiate Pathway Program. This pathway allows students to strengthen their English language skills at the UWinnipeg’s English Language Program (ELP) on campus. Upon successful completion of the English Language Program, students seamlessly transition to their academic program at the Collegiate.
Collegiate Exchange
This program is intended for international students who desire to spend 1–3 terms at the Collegiate as an exchange student, benefiting from a cultural and academic experience, and have the intent to return to their home country to complete high school.
