Collegiate international students will reside at McFeetors Hall, the UWinnipeg campus residence conveniently located a short, 3-minute walk from the Collegiate.

Privacy & Security

McFeetors Hall offers advanced 24/7 security, and only Collegiate students and staff will have access to the Collegiate’s private floor, with areas designated by gender and non-binary persons. Private dorm rooms are accessible to the assigned student only — students are not permitted in one another’s rooms, but may visit in a large common area.

Dedicated Collegiate Resident Advisors (CRAs) will be available to Collegiate students 24/7. CRAs will be responsible for daily monitoring, including curfew check-ins, personal wellness, and social activities.
The Collegiate Dean and International Student Advisor are actively involved in the hiring and supervision of CRAs.

Dorms will be available for the Fall/Winter and Spring Terms, including the Winter and Spring Breaks (Reading Week). Students will have the option of continuing their stay over the summer holiday (July & August).

Private Amenities

Rooms are single dorms and include wi-fi, air-conditioning, a single bed, desk, desk chair and lamp, wardrobe, mini-fridge, and a private bathroom. (Bed linens are not included.)

Shared Spaces

A kitchen area (including microwaves and rice cookers), lounge/common area, and laundry services will be accessible to Collegiate students on their private floor.

A Cross-Cultural Experience

Living in residence at the UWC offers a valuable cross-cultural experience. You’ll meet students from across Canada and around the world, experience a variety of cultures, and establish lifelong friendships

Meal Plan

Student meal plans include 12 meals per week catered by Diversity Foods, which offers local, fresh, natural, and organic foods. Students can order their meals from any of five campus restaurants.

Additional Meals

Students will also be permitted to cook their own meals and/or purchase meals off campus. There are numerous restaurants and food delivery services, such as Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes, accessible to students.

A Collegiate On-Campus Residence Program Policy Handbook will be available for parents/students.

Orientation activities will be offered at the beginning of September to allow students, staff, and CRAs the opportunity to get to know one another.

Additional Services

As part of our on-campus experience, students living in residence also have access to evening homework/tutoring sessions, volunteer opportunities, shopping/groceries trips, weekend/ holiday activities, and socio-cultural activities hosted by the International Student Advisor and CRAs.
