Our on-campus residence program allows for robust monitoring of international student wellness and academic success, and the ability to provide enhanced student life programming and cultural experiences.

Convenience
Collegiate international students will reside at McFeetors Hall, the UWinnipeg campus residence conveniently located a short, 3-minute walk from the Collegiate.
Privacy & Security
McFeetors Hall offers advanced 24/7 security. Residents are assigned to private rooms in areas designated by gender and non-binary persons. Private dorm rooms are accessible to Collegiate residents only — guests or non-Collegiate residents are not permitted in dorms.
Supervision
A dedicated Student Care Monitor is available to Collegiate residents during evenings from Monday to Friday. The Student Care Monitor is responsible for daily monitoring, personal wellness and mentoring, and social - cultural activities. In addition to the Student Care Monitor, Collegiate residents have 24/7 access to the on-call Resident Advisor.
Availability
Dorms are available for the Fall/Winter and Spring Terms, including the Winter and Spring Breaks (Reading Week).
Private Amenities
Rooms are single dorms and include wi-fi, air-conditioning, a single bed, desk, desk chair and lamp, wardrobe, mini-fridge, and a private bathroom. (Bed linens are not included.)
Shared Spaces
Kitchen areas (including stoves, fridges and microwaves), a lounge/common area, and laundry services are accessible to Collegiate residents.
Meal Plan
A meal plan is mandatory and Collegiate residents have the option of choosing their preferred meal plan based on their needs. Additional meal plan funds can be added at any time.
Additional Meals
Students are permitted to cook their own meals and/or purchase meals off campus. There are numerous restaurants and food delivery services, such as Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes, accessible to students. We also accompany students for
monthly grocery trips to various stores in Winnipeg.

Orientation
Orientation activities is offered at the beginning of September to allow students and staff the opportunity to get to know one another.
Additional Services
As part of our on-campus experience, Collegiate residents also have access to evening mentoring sessions, volunteer opportunities, shopping/groceries trips, and socio-cultural activities hosted by the International Program Coordinator and Student Care Monitor.

Custodianship
Custodianship will be provided by The Collegiate free of charge for all students under 18 years of age.
