UWC Alumni Report: Shawna Skelton (Class of 2016) excels at theoretical physics

Before they began attending the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, one the most prestigious graduate programs in theoretical physics, Shawna Skelton (UWC alumni, Class of 2016) was completing Physics 30S and 40S at the UW Collegiate.

Shawna's UW Collegiate education led them to the University of Winnipeg, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematical Physics, and has now led them to Waterloo and the Perimeter Institute, as one of only 25 students who were accepted to their theoretical physics graduate program this year.

Shawna hopes to complete a doctorate and ultimately work in the academic field, which would combine their passion in teaching and research.
